Ty, the Rambling ArtistThe art of making drawing smiles and making connections, anywhere in the world.

Welcome to my observations from a caricature artist deep in the middle of the happiest place on earth, Disney World, Orlando, Florida. My name is. Ty. Walls, a.k.a Ty the Art Guy. I draw smiles for a living, more of a labor of love to be honest. I like to think I’m answering a calling to save the world one smile at a time. Over the years of drawing smiles I’ve recorded and noted a plethora of observations from my caricature easel and after an enormous push and prodding from friends and family to produce a book or at the very least a blog, I’m finally making the leap. This being the first post in what I hope will become a semi-random, irregular habit of sharing the wonderful moments and the rare not so wonderful moments that I become a part of, or at the very least observe from my caricature easel in the happiest place on earth.
So which of the many wonderful little moments shall I start off with? The girl whose mother had recently passed away and when I showed her her caricature she got all tears and claimed she was as beautiful as her mom? Or the eight year old high functioning autistic musical savant who loves opera and can play “Carmine” (his favorite opera) on at least a dozen instruments all the way through? Or the many wonderful newly weds? Or the blind girl who asked me to draw her before her tragic accident that caused her blindness? Seriously, I have created and have been a small part of so many wonderful little moments of happiness and greatness that I truly don’t know where to begin. With that being the case, I think I will start with a short little blurb of one of my lifetime favorites that recently happened to me at my caricature stand. The following is a little moment that was a first for me in my 35+ years of saving the world one smile at a time. Feedback is always encouraged. Please and thank you. Ty the Art Guy.
