Then to make matters worse, you’re in the wrong lane to pull into the closest store to get water. So then you have to become the wreckless driver that we all honk at, crossing three lanes of traffic and you still miss your entrance to the store. So now your stuck in the other wrong lane for the next opportunity to get water for this poor guy on the corner.

However, being persistent pays off and you are able to pull into drug store, get a liter of water for the cardboard pedestrian and maybe even some crackers, plus two additional bottles of water for future opportunities to help. You get back in your car and backtrack six blocks to meet up with the cardboard pedestrian that was so needy, only to find him missing.??!

Oh wait, there he is in the shade of a small tree off the road. You pull over to the nearest parking and walk up to him and give him the water and crackers. Saying something like, “sorry I missed you earlier, I had to stop at the store for you.” And the guy looks at you with wide eyes and says, ” I was just asking God for some water and here you are.”

It made all the single finger salutes and the honking at my crazy lane changing worth it.
